COLLECTION NOTES
This test is performed by Pathology Queensland and setup on Mondays and Thursday. Where possible, collect on Wednesdays or Fridays.
GENERAL NOTES
APPLICATION: The presence of precipitating antibody supports a diagnosis of allergic bronchopulomary aspergillosis and/or Aspergilloma.
This test is not useful for diagnosis of invasive aspergillosis for which a tissue biopsy is usually required.
Please note: Turn around time for this test may be up to 3 weeks.
