GENERAL NOTES
APPLICATION: Confirmation of Legionella infection depends on detecting a 4 fold rise in titre to >=128.
INTERPRETATION: A single titre of >=256 is suggestive of infection. Seroconversion may take as long as 6 weeks to occur.
Legionella pneumophila (1) and (2) and Legionella longbeachae (1) are the only species routinely tested.
