Please collect a minimum of 3mL of blood into a PWB (lithium heparin no gel) tube.  Contact the Cytogenetics Department at RBH (3646 8076) to let them know the sample is coming.  Send the sample and request immediately to Mater Pathology Laboratory.  

Several other specimens are suitable for testing for Fanconi's anaemia, including amniotic fluid and Chorionic villus.  Contact the Mater Cytogenetics laboratory if unsure (3163 8212).
