INTERPRETATION: A positive result on immunoassay, CFT or HA indicates past or present infection as tests remain positive even when cysts are non-viable. False positive results do occur. A positive immunophoresis Arc 5 Test correlates with active hydatid disease. Arc 5 testing is not currently available.
