COLLECTION NOTES

Blood is the most common specimen.

For children <2 years, blood spots on neonatal screening cards may be used. Please contact the laboratory on 07-3163-8996 prior to collection. Blood spots CANNOT be used for extended cystic fibrosis testing (sequencing, poly-T analysis, extended panel).

Please ensure this request is not the "Prepair Genetic Carrier Screening" assay offered by VCGS. Please refer to Prepair in PathTest for collection details.
