APPLICATION: Test for exposure to nicotine. It is not of value in passive smokers. INTERPRETATION: Qualitative result given. Only urine qualitative cotinine test is available routinely. Quantitative urine and serum/plasma cotinine are available only on a research basis and requests need to be discussed with Pathology QLD prior to the study.
